This article is a short interview with the former MSc International Business director, Philippe Chereau (pictured), on the likely career path for graduates of this MSc.

Q: What jobs can graduates of your MSc expect to get in one / three / five / ten years’ time?

Philippe:
“On graduating, MSc International Business graduates find jobs working in an international environment, the majority as project managers, international sales, consultants, product marketers, and business developers within international corporations or exporting SMEs. Some, a growing proportion, choose to work in international NGOs.

Within three to five years, they get management positions such as head of a new subsidiary, international marketing manager, sales manager.”

Q: What would be the salaries they can expect?

Philippe:
“Salaries vary according to the kind of companies (NGOs pay less than multinationals) and countries. An MSc International Business graduate, based in a western country and working in a large corporation, will likely earn €40 000 in the first year and could perfectly well enjoy a progression of up to 20% per year.”

Q: Where / what countries / cities would they be working?

Philippe:
“We currently have graduates in all major cities and business hubs in the world: London, New York, Mumbai, Dubai, Beijing, Shanghai, Geneva, Paris, Frankfurt, etc.”
