About the campus

Sophia Antipolis is situated in an exceptional 2,400-hectare park, nestled between the sea and the mountains. Based on a concept inspired by American technology parks, it combines excellent working and living conditions. It encompasses parts of the towns of Antibes, Biot, Mougins, Valbonne, and Vallauris, and has nearly one million inhabitants.

SKEMA’s five-hectare, state-of–the-art Sophia Antipolis campus fits harmoniously with its environment. The campus offers co-working areas. These spaces reflect the science park's commitment to providing a quality of life and respect for the environment.

Sophia Antipolis is one of the first technology parks in Europe

Sophia Antipolis, located on the Côte d’Azur, is the largest and one of the first technology parks in France and Europe, founded in 1969 by Pierre Laffitte. Recognised today as a leading hub of technological innovation, the technology park houses 2,650 companies, employs 44,500 people, accommodates around 7,500 students, and supports 5,500 researchers from 80 different nationalities.

Technological innovation

Sophia Antipolis was designed as a place of cutting-edge technology to meet the current and future challenges.
Its identity is digital and based today on artificial intelligence, as well as key areas such as biotechnology, cybersecurity, yachting, Blue Tech, and even autonomous and connected vehicles.

Around 20km from the international airport in Nice, Sophia Antipolis is a protected site of 2,400 hectares, located between the sea and the mountains.

Nearby places​

Nice is located around 32km from the Sophia Antipolis campus (30 minutes by car). Creative, dynamic and cosmopolitan, it has a university and several business districts. Located on the shores of the Mediterranean, in the heart of a region of timeless beauty, it is both a coastal and mountain resort that cultivates the charm of its originality and contrasts.

Cannes is one of the global capitals for business and leisure tourism. It also boasts an extraordinary natural setting as well as a long tradition of welcoming visitors, successfully combining professional skills and technical infrastructure to make the city a trusted and attractive destination. The main business tourism city after Paris, it has built its reputation on top-end amenities that make it a competitive destination for some of the biggest international events.

Monaco is situated around 20km from Nice. It is one of the world's most renowned hubs for finance, luxury, and entrepreneurship, and hosts several prestigious events such as the ​Formula 1 Grand Prix, the Monte Carlo Tennis Masters, Monaco Yacht Show, the Monte Carlo Rally, and the Red Cross Gala, among others. Monaco's economy is very dynamic and oriented towards the future.​​

Saint Tropez holds significant cultural and economic importance as a renowned luxury destination on the French Riviera. Its glamorous reputation, beautiful beaches, and vibrant nightlife make it a symbol of prestige and leisure, contributing to the region's tourism industry and serving as a hub for high-end fashion, gastronomy, and entertainment.

Frequently Asked Questions - Sophia Antipolis campus

  • By flight

    The Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is located 20 km from Sophia Antipolis. You can take bus number 230 from the airport to the Sophia Antipolis campus. If you arrive at Terminal 2 (T2), you can take a free tramway to Terminal 1 (T1). Then, walk to the nearby bus stop Aéroport/Promenade and take bus number 230 (direction 'Sophia Gare Routière'). The name of the bus stop near the school is SKEMA.

    Two buses are available for travel to Antibes or Juan-les-Pins: 620 and 250. If you arrive at Terminal 2, you'll have to go to Terminal 1 and walk to the nearby bus stop – Aéroport / Promenade. Take either bus number 250 or 200 (destination Cannes). Both the buses pass through Antibes and Juan-les-Pins.

     

    By train

    The closest SNCF train station to Sophia Antipolis is Antibes. Check schedules on the SNCF website for long-distance trains or on the TER website for regional trains. From the Antibes train station, you can take a bus to reach the campus. To access the bus stop, exit the station and use the pedestrian bridge over the tracks. Check the bus section below for detailed instructions.

     

    By bus

    From the Antibes train station, you can take the Envibus bus line B. Get off at the École des Mines stop. From the communes of the Communauté d'Agglomération Sophia Antipolis: use the Envibus network (check the routes, timetables, and fares).

    From other communes, use the Transports Alpes-Maritimes (TAM) departmental bus network. Bus line 630 runs between the Nice airport and Sophia Antipolis.

     

    By car or taxi

    From Cannes: Take the A8 motorway, exit 44 “Antibes/Sophia Antipolis.” After the toll, turn right towards Sophia Antipolis (D35).

    From Nice: Take the A8 motorway, exit 44 “Antibes/Sophia Antipolis.” After the toll, turn left towards Antibes (D535). After a wide curve, turn right towards “Grasse–Vallauris” (Route de Grasse). Continue straight for about 1.4 km until you reach Route du Parc. Keep straight, then turn right at “Accès 3 Les Lucioles” onto Rue Albert Einstein.

    For SKEMA Business School: From Rue Albert Einstein, turn first right onto Rue Ludwig Van Beethoven, then first right again onto Rue Dostoïevski. The entrance is at No. 60 on your right.

    For SKEMA BBA: From Rue Albert Einstein, the BBA entrance is on your left.
