Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Knowledge Economy These words encapsulate the identity of SKEMA Business School since they focus SKEMA research activities on the School's three areas of distinctive expertise: | Ludovic Dibiaggio, PhD Associate Dean for Research |
SKEMA seeks to produce research which balances two competing pressures: to be both rigorous and relevant. Excellence means producing research that is published in outlets of international quality, with a strong real-world orientation that is meaningful for companies and that feeds into excellent teaching quality for students. It is particularly important for French researchers to publish in English in order to be visible internationally and SKEMA has made this one of its priorities.
SKEMA research objectives are :
- to increase the quality and quantity of publications in recognised international academic journals, in order to contribute to the visibility of the School and its faculty;
- to complement research with development that enables quality and relevant teaching to the highest international standards;
- to contribute to management practice by connecting research and the corporate world.
A key contributer to the culture of SKEMA Business School is the institution of bi-monthly
research seminars. These have fostered the active involvement of faculty members to build up a Community of Knowledge, which, in turn, creates a virtuous circle of research, teaching and industry partnerships.
