ETI Axis

The creation and development of new businesses, the management of technology and the management of innovation are the main focus of the ETI group. The various experiences of the members of this group allow them to address specific management situations. Expertise has been developed in either teaching or research activities at the macro and the micro levels.

At the macro-level, this includes the following situations :
role of the innovative milieus in the creation and exploitation of technology, management of incubators, management of social networks in scientific and technical communities, social acceptance of new technologies.

At the micro-level, this includes the following managerial situations :
  • development of entrepreneurs,
  • creation, development and management of high-tech start-ups and high-growth innovative companies,
  • development of new businesses in existing companies,
  • management of large high-tech companies
  • management of inter-firm alliances and partnerships,
  • management of innovators and R&D teams,
  • management of technology in techno-driven environments, technology creation, technology management / technology sourcing, technology assessment, technology strategy.

These situations are considered from the perspective of different specialisations, i.e. business and corporate strategy, marketing, and human resource management. These areas of expertise are embodied in diverse courses of the ESC program (basic courses and specialized tracks), MSc and Mastères Spécialisées programs. Members of the group are involved in the management of several European research projects. An in-house incubator provides the right place for students to start new businesses.

Most of the ETI members have significant experience of research in international contexts and / or teaching abroad.
