| Global Management (GM) contributes to a better understanding of the opportunities and challenges that corporations and organizations face in a global environment: We tackle the issues of management of international affairs, international finance, risk management, globalization and multicultural projects with some important focus on areas like terrorism impacts. Also, selected sectors such as that of tourism or finance are highly visible through, for example, the activities of the Global Finance Center of Expertise, amongst others. Global Management is the largest faculty division of SKEMA, highly appreciated and reactive vis-à-vis the professional milieus that we interact with: Always recreating the close nexus we entertain with business realities, for multinationals, SMEs and the international institutional framework. The expertise and experience of more than twenty dedicate and a large number of affiliate and visiting professors ensures the highest excellence in teaching and advising, but also a high output in leading research fields and publications on an international scale. | Gabriele Suder GM axis Associate Dean |

GM studies global, international and transnational industries, sectors, functions and organizations that are the main actors and subjects of globalization effects. International marketing, comparative law and taxation, European integration, public affairs management, intellectual property rights, corporate citizenship and sustainable development are only some of its up-to-date fields of expertise.
So as to ensure pedagogic coherence, these fields are integral part of, in particular, the second and third year ESC curriculum, on a basis well prepared in first year. Courses that area proposed include typically International Affairs/ Affaires Internationales, The World Tade Organisation/Organisation Mondiale du Commerce, International Accounting/Comptabilité Internationale, European Business Environment, Crisis , risk and Disaster Management, Globalization/Regionalism, Global Economy and Trade, Intercultural Management, Tourism Management, Deutschland in der Weltwirtschaft (Germany in the global economy) and other courses taught in English, French or other languages to our students. We also propose such elective classes as Arab and Chinese language and culture for our future international managers.
SKEMA students may, if desired, enjoy a whole ESC curriculum in English. In ESC students' third year (Master in Management II), specializations reinforce the fundaments of commerce. Amongst these specializations, GM is proud to propose some of the most pertinent curricula for current business administration, some entirely or mainly in French (for example in focused marketing and finance fields) and one exclusively in English (the Major Global Management & European Business) with privileged corporate partners, amongst them Microsoft International.
On Master level, you will also find our leading Masters of Sciences (MSc International Business, MSc International Finance, MSc International Project Leadership, MSc Strategic Tourism Management) taught in English. Our French- taught specialized Master degrees encompass the MS Ingénierie et Gestion Internationale de Patrimoine, MS Finance de Marchés, Innovations et Technologies et MS Stratégique du Développement Durable.
How does business best tackle diversity? How can market grouping effects translate into corporate value creation? Which international funds may apply to which corporate activity? Which part of the world can be approached with a standardized product or service; which one needs customization and localizaion of activities? How do you best segment your internatonal customer base? Why should organizations know how to manage public affairs, and what tools lead to success? To what extent do international finance and marketing improve corporate perfomance? What responsibility does the international firm hold in its large business environment? How can cultural diversity become a value in business? These and other key questions guide the activities of GM at SKEMA Business School.
