SKEMA’s Modular Executive MBA offers some unique features through its modularity approach and the wide range of combination it proposes.
Its primary goal is to provide post-experienced participants with
solid foundations of general management and a comprehensive understanding of entrepreneurship in a multicultural and international environment. The educational experience also aims at developing participants’ intellectual and personal skills and their capability to undertake a practical research study and publish its results. The programme, taught in English at the Paris Campus, combines 15 Core Business subjects and miscellaneous areas of possible specialisations to be chosen from the masters offered at SKEMA. It includes the preparation for recognised international professional certifications in the main fields of expertise of the school such as Strategy, Programme and Project Management, Finance, Accounting and Marketing. It is a part-time MBA programme designed for an international audience who has a minimum of 3 years’ work experience.
The curriculum has 12- to 24- month duration with either a one-week or two one-week courses a month. The educational rhythm alternates between face-to-face seminars pre and post course assignments. Since the courses are held from Monday to Friday, it makes it possible for the working participants to conjugate both their professional and personal lives with their studies.
The programme combines a wide range of pedagogical approaches in order to foster both personal and professional development of the participants. They include lectures, on-line support, public speaking, group dynamics, confrontations, and participative methods.
The MBA participants also have the opportunity to attend parts of the programme abroad. Three residencies are held either at SKEMA’s partner universities, such as in UT Dallas (USA) or SPA Jain (India), or at its international campuses just like in Suzhou (China). The seminars focus on the business and governance perspectives in these parts of the world and enable the students to enlarge their international network for the future development of their professional career.
Last but not least, the accreditation of the programme by worldwide known project management professional bodies – the Project Management Institute (USA) and the Association of project Management (UK) - gives it a strong international visibility in the community.
