SKEMA is a private, not-for-profit, management school.
Its legal status is that of an association, under the law of 1901.
The « SKEMA » association is born from the contribution to the « Groupe ESC Lille » association of the CERAM Business School, previously owned by the French Riviera Chamber of Commerce. In return, the Chamber of Commerce and French Riviera representatives, will take part in the governance of SKEMA ,on an equal basis with the Nord-Pas-de-Calais representatives. This General Assembly has 40 members in total
The mission of the school is to prepare high-quality graduates for high-quality employment with strong career prospects. To this end, SKEMA relies on its faculty as well as its links with national and international professional bodies and research. SKEMA also maintains contact with an increasing number of recruiters every year in order to meet the changing needs and expectations of companies in terms of knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
Executive Council
This council has the executive authority to take all major decisions regarding SKEMA. It is advised on strategic, international development and research aspects by the three boards below. The Executive Council is made of representatives coming equally from the French Riviera and Nord-pas-de-Calais territories.
The Chairman is Bernard LECOMTE, Delegate VEOLIA, (SKEMA 1964). The Delegate President is Dominique ESTEVE, President of the French Riviera Chamber of Commerce. Strategic Advisory Board ( Conseil d’orientation Stratégique)
The purpose of the Conseil d’Orientation Stratégique (COS) is to give advice on the school’s development and general strategic options. The Board is mainly composed of company directors and CEOs, including several SKEMA alumni.
