The cooperation with these partners enables us to adapt our academic programme to the latest developments of the profession. Members of these associations are co-participating in our teaching activities, selection juries, scientific committees, coaching in business games etc.

Our students are also invited to attend conferences organised by these associations thus accessing important professional networks right from their time as MSc students at SKEMA.

Cooperation with the CIMA – France association
The students of the MSc Auditing, Management Accounting & Information Systems are actively implicated in the events organised by CIMA London in Paris.

CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) is the largest professional body of management accountants in the world, having 172,000 members and students from 165 countries, with a strong international strategic vision. (www.cimaglobal.com)

SKEMA signed a unique agreement with CIMA in France, enabling SKEMA students from the MS/MSc Auditing, Management and Information Systems to prepare professional certificates in management accounting, and also giving the opportunity to CIMA fellows to join the Master of Science in Auditing, Management Accounting and Information Systems of the School in a fast track adapted to their needs.

SKEMA students (MSc Auditing, Management Accounting and Information Systems Audit and MS Audit, Contrôle de Gestion et Systèmes d’Information) gain several exemptions with CIMA, as part of their SKEMA degree, and can obtain their CIMA certificates (CBA - Certificate in Business Accounting and ADMA - Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting), after validation of only three exams (C01, P2, E2).

The cooperation with the CIMA – France association gives our students access to conferences organised by CIMA France, each academic year's calendar is rich in events.

This partnership is a fine example of our policy of getting close to the business world and international professional bodies.

Cooperation with IFACI
IFACI (French Institute of Internal Audit and Internal Control) is an association founded in 1965, and it has now 4000 members from 900 public sector and private sector organizations.
IFACI is affiliated to the IIA (The Institute of Internal Auditors), and has access to a network of 170,000 audit experts located in more than 160 countries. IFACI brings together the internal auditors and other experts in the internal control.

IFACI has signed partnership agreements with 4 top French Business Schools, including SKEMA Business School, with its MS / MSc in Auditing, Management and Information Systems. Students from these programmes at SKEMA can join IFACI and thus gain access to resources and events organized by the Institute. In addition, students who choose the professional specialisation in internal audit have access to preparation for the DPAI diploma, and obtain several exemptions, based on the validation of their MSc or MS (see articles on professional certificates). Our students are also invited each year to participate to the LEMANT Olivier Awards for the top three dissertations in internal audit and internal control.

Cooperation with the APDC
APDC (The Association of Professionals and Managers in Accounting) is a professional association run by a team of managers of the accounting function in large groups. Our school is one of the educational partners of the APDC, and our programme is actively involved in this cooperation. Our students and programme representatives are invited to attend the events organized by the association, such as the monthly meetings, the Award for the best dissertation in accounting, auditing and control, and other projects coming from this professional network.
Another example of our cooperation and support from the APDC is the research made in 2010 by students from Dauphine University and SKEMA Business School, and coordinated by Professors Nicolas Berland and Yves Levant. The research investigated the impact of the IFRS 8 adoption on the organization of management accounting in groups and it was based on a survey amongst members of the APDC. We expect the same active involvement from our future students.

Cooperation with the DFCG
Founded in 1964, the National Association of CFOs and Management Accountants (DFCG) has now over 3000 members (CFOs and / or Management Accountants of private or public organisations -85%, teachers and consultants in the areas of management, finance and information systems are also members -15%) in all economic sectors and all business sizes in France. The mission of the DFCG is to participate to the professional development of its members by exchanging ideas and experiences within conferences, workshops, training courses, and in its monthly review “Echanges”. The association is organised into 17 regional groups.

SKEMA’s involvement with DFCG has developed over many years. Among others, our professors participate actively in the life of the professional association, whose members are involved in teaching, juries and scientific committees of the School. SKEMA organises many events in partnership with this prestigious association.
