"I started my MSc in Project and Programme Management & Business Development in September 2010. Throughout the programme I had the opportunity to work with multicultural teams of great diversity in terms of age, background, studies etc. And through our daily collaboration and joint work, I have learned the value of relationship management and teamwork.

What I found very interesting, useful and afterwards well-appreciated by businesses are the preparation courses and certification exams such as PRINCE2®, MSP®, 6 Sigma, CAPM etc., which gave me opportunity to enrich my CV with recognised certification by the business market, enhance my technical skills and reinforce my theoretical and practical perception for project environment and its requirements.
In order to complete the MSc, an end-of-year full time internship and a professional thesis based on the company was mandatory. Through my professional network I managed to get a six-month internship in Airbus, Toulouse in the Project Management Deployment department and Project and Programme Management support. I joined the company in September 2011 and my experience so far is interesting, challenging and valuable for my personal and career development.
Through my daily performance and my missions, I have realised the importance and the necessity of a strong theoretical baseline in project management and how useful it is to have knowledge of specific technical terminology, the tools and techniques that are used and the perception of project lifecycle as well as the different phases a project goes through.
A new contract in a new mission in A320 Scope Management was offered to me for six more months and during the technical and behavioural assessment, my background, my international certifications in diverse areas like cost engineering and quality and my MSc specialisation gave me greater capacities compared to the rest of the candidates for the same mission.
Modern, international companies such as Airbus that perform, invest and undertake large and risky projects need young professionals with strong theoretical backgrounds, technical skills, and who are highly-motivated to work in that domain and ready to work on challenging missions in an international work environment. Adaptability and creativity are appreciated. I believe that my MSc in Project and Programme Management & Business Development has provided me with the opportunity to learn by working and living in an international environment, as well as challenges and situations that enhance my personal skills. At the same time, I was in contact with professionals from all over the world, renowned in their domains with communicative and teaching skills that benefit young SKEMA graduates like me to this day.
I am very thankful for the support and I feel very lucky to have had this experience."
