I was introduced to experienced industry executives, given exciting and innovative projects, and an opportunity to explore and appreciate other cultures. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
Thanks to my experience on the MSc, I'm now working as a front office manager for the Casa Marina, a Waldorf Astoria Resort in Key West, Florida."

"Thanks to the MSc Global Luxury Management, I’ve had the opportunity to meet amazing people from all around the world and work in a stimulating multicultural environment on great projects.
I am very pleased with the amount of professionals this programme has allowed us to meet on both the NC State and SKEMA sides, with a New York City and a North Carolina study tour, and the possibility to attend luxury fairs in Europe in the spring like Baselworld, 1.618 Sustainable Luxury, and many others.
I chose to take an internship with the 332-year-old luxury gastronomy house Dalloyau as an export manager assistant. I hope to find a job after this in Paris or London and I am sure the MSc Global Luxury Management will be an asset in reaching this goal."

"The MSc Global Luxury Management was a rich and intensive experience!
After engineering-oriented studies at Iteem (a department of the Ecole Centrale de Lille), I decided to specialise with this MSc.
It was a real opportunity to discover new cultures and see how mine was perceived.
Indeed, during the first semester at North Carolina State University, I learned to work with American people and I discovered their vision of luxury. It was the same thing during the second semester on the SKEMA campus with the Chinese and European students working in teams on the different projects we had to do.
Moreover, we were lucky to have many experienced guest speakers from various places all around the globe (India, Brazil, China, U.S., etc.) who expanded our knowledge about what is really happening in the luxury industry today and what the future trends are.
Now I feel ready to begin my professional career and I am happy to say that I recently started my internship at Lepage, a prestigious house in the luxury watch and jewellery sectors that works with the major brands like Rolex, Bulgari, Chanel, Hublot, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Chopard, etc."
"I chose the Global Luxury Management MSc dual degree between North Carolina State University and SKEMA Business School because I wanted to build on my undergraduate degree in Fashion and Textile Management and focus specifically on the luxury industry.
SKEMA’s strong global presence and reputation, as well as the unique synergy between SKEMA and NC State, both led to my decision to attend the Global Luxury Management dual degree programme.

I’ve accepted a marketing internship in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA with Peter Millar, a leading luxury lifestyle apparel brand. Peter Millar was recently acquired by Richemont and is the first American brand to be acquired by the luxury goods holding company. The recent acquisition is going to open new doors for Peter Millar, especially in terms of a global presence, and I am thrilled to be a part of this exciting time for the brand."
"The MSc programme has been an extremely rewarding experience for me. After working for several years in North Carolina and New York City I knew something was missing and I decided to return to my alma mater to pursue a degree catered towards my passions and future career goals.
I have gained a lot of insight into the luxury industry through our study tours in the states and submerging myself in a completely different culture.

I've recently accepted a marketing internship position with Peter Millar, a Richemont company and luxury lifestyle clothing brand based in Raleigh, North Carolina. I will be working directly with the VP of marketing, Millie Graham, who is also a representative on the MSc Global Luxury Management advisory board."
"I was very keen to do this master because of the dual degree (NCSU and SKEMA), the semester abroad (in the US for me), the opportunity to learn more about the fashion and luxury industry and to meet many professionals.
I was not disappointed!
My first semester in the MSc GLM progamme at NCSU was amazing. I was a student in a prestigious American University, I met people who are now great friends, professors and career management people were very available for us, we had great courses and had the opportunity to network with many professionals.
I travelled a lot in the US and always tried to go to events related to the industry, to visit boutiques and showrooms and to meet people.
In France, at SKEMA, we had great classes lead by professionals working for luxury companies. We were well prepared to face interviews for internships.
I found a very interesting internship as women's ready-to-wear assistant in Louis Vuitton. I am happy to work for this great company in Paris, part of the LVMH luxury group."
"We visited several great luxury organisations in North Carolina and in New York City during the week we spent there. We spoke with representatives from Dolce & Gabbana, Ralph Lauren, the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, and many more.
Our Industry Advisory Board served as a great resource for students providing networking opportunities in addition to their wealth of knowledge.
SKEMA and NCSU have allowed me to learn from some of the brightest minds in the industry and gain insight into many business functions that I was previously relatively inexperienced with. Overall, it was a tremendous opportunity for me, both personally and professionally.
I recently accepted an internship position with Adidas in Portland, Oregon, one of the largest sports apparel brands in the world. I will be working in their marketing department focusing on social media strategy and analytics."
