Patsaapa Laohaareedilok,

MSc Web-Marketing & International Project Management 2012-13

“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a life time.

This MSc will give you more than just extensive knowledge from theoretical courses; the program is designed to help us develop practical competences and give us a wide vision of what's actually going on in the industry.

During the MSc, we’ve had the chance to work with companies to develop real life projects as junior project managers. Working like this, I've learnt how to develop and manage a project from A-Z.

With guidance from the professor-coaches, I've learnt how to create an effective marketing plan and strategies. I’ve also improved my communication and language competencies.

This training is an excellent preparation for me in order to be highly qualified before starting in the professional life in the web marketing field.

I have already found a six-month internship as a web-marketing and communication assistant at a company nearby called Luxury Rental Apartments Cannes. I will be working closely with the marketing & communication director to develop marketing & strategy plans for the company.”

Yann Cano,

MSc Web-Marketing & International Project Management 2012-13
"This year of MSc studies has been the best ever. This master perfectly fits the market I am about to enter.

Project management is 100% covered on the programme. I feel like I understand and master every piece of what project management is about. Students can get PMI certified which can make a lot of difference when looking for a job.

To support the teaching of project management, students must work on real projects throughout the year. Managing a nine-month project can be quite challenging, however it gave us the ability to work efficiently as teams, in a way that I never had done before.

This experience enabled us to understand and manage what is needed to get a job in the web industry, such as advertising, or even basic creation skills.

It’s a tough year, but it’s worth it!

And it’s paid off – I’ve just been confirmed a permanent post at Zanox as a small and medium business account manager. Zanox is Europe's largest network for performance-based online advertising. I’m really happy about it."

HuiTing Pan,

MSc Web-Marketing & International Project Management 2012-13
"Before coming to France, I worked for a well-known media organisation in China as a journalist.

I chose SKEMA because it is a high ranking business school with a good reputation that also offers students a lot in this master.

The courses here in SKEMA are comprehensive and cover a lot of ground. The core curriculum areas like Project Management, Google Adwords, Website Design etc. are geared to our needs in skills and knowledge development.

The real, in-company project we completed for a big local company has been a great opportunity for us to put theory into practice. Through coaching from different professors who have rich experiences in different areas of business we can test skills and knowledge we have acquired from classes and encourage lateral thinking to solve problems in an unconventional manner.

Professors are thoughtful; they tend to take extreme patience and consideration with us and are encouraging as well when we have difficulties in our studies.

I’ve got an internship in the European Society of Cardiology which is a big international organisation here in Sophia Antipolis. I’m working as an event assistant in the registration department. In August, I will be participating in event coordination work for the annual congress in Amsterdam."

Marielle Felicio Marra

, MSc Web-Marketing & International Project Management 2011-12
"Now I’ve completed the MSc, I can say I am very happy with my experience at SKEMA Business School and the MSc course.

I chose this MSc to improve my knowledge in web marketing (in which I already have over eight years’ experience) and to improve my project management skills.

Our classes have been in line with the subjects and strategies that today’s business people need to know to manage internet-related projects successfully.

Currently, in this economic context, companies are seeking ways to improve their communication with customers in a less expensive way. In my opinion, using online tools and the power of social media is not only the most innovative way to achieve this goal, but also the most effective one. I feel I should be part of it.

At SKEMA we “learn by doing”. With this innovative way of teaching, students can better develop their skills not just by learning the theory, but also by applying it through different projects.

I’ve already got a job, which I’ve started; I’m working in Canada in a company as social media and community manager. It’s great!"

Apichaya Inprasit, MSc Web-Marketing & International Project Management 2011-12

"I have learned many things doing the coursework combined with the real project in a real company. The professional coaching from SKEMA is really good too.

Moreover, I’ve gained valuable international experience, and my language skills have improved too.

In this globalised world, I’ve found that the more languages you know, the more opportunities you get. Education is an investment in knowledge and your future. With SKEMA, my return on investment has been even better than expected.

I’ve already got my internship. It’s in marketing and communication for six months at QuesCom in Sophia Antipolis. I will be working on Salesforce (a CRM tool) and on web marketing especially to redesign a website, Google Adwords, and social networks.

This opportunity will be a great start to my international career."

Rooman Osmany, MSc Web-Marketing & International Project Management 2006-07

“Since 2007, I have been working in web-marketing sales departments. My first job was in a web-agency specialised in designing and developing websites, through offshoring in Bulgaria. It allowed me to understand how important the information architecture and the conversion tunnel were.

After these first 18 months, I decided to switch to a performance agency: TradeDoubler, European affiliation leader. For two years now, I’ve been in charge of thinking up and selling the best strategies for e-merchants to sell more. This goes through many levers (keyworders, comparison sites, cashback, couponing, virtual currencies…) which are specific to each industry. I learned a lot at TradeDoubler as it gave me a pretty large vision of web-marketing.

In a few weeks, I’ll be moving to another web agency, where my job will be to sell and deliver (in the first 6 months, in order to completely understand how the tool works) AdExchanges’ campaigns. This is a new way to do media buying: Through automatic bidding, but with a completely performance-driven strategy. Indeed, it’s working the long tail instead of working through the top 50 Nielsen.

The web-marketing industry is constantly moving on and new challenges are appearing every day. Think about social networks, mobile companies or deal-of-the-day websites: all are booming and recruiting students graduating from specialised masters!

The MSc Web-Marketing & International Project Management will give you a wide vision of all the competences and possibilities given and needed by this industry: from defining a strategy to leading a project.  It is the one I would recommend if you’re looking for an interesting job, leading you to the best web-marketing positions.”

Raphaëlle Dol, MSc Web-Marketing & International Project Management 2010-11

“I had done a gap year working in an internet business so it seemed natural to consolidate and develop my competences in this area by doing SKEMA’s Web-Marketing MSc. I was also attracted to this MSc because of the way it works: throughout the year, students work on a big project with a company, putting into practice the concepts they have just learned in classes.

The way the week was organised (two or three days of classes per week) allowed me to work as an entrepreneur in the free days, and thus to gain even more valuable experience.

To choose the MSc WMIPM is to choose a master that combines both theory and practice, that makes it an assured and successful entry to the job market.
Indeed, I have already signed a permanent contract with a company. And the MSc year isn’t even over yet!”

Jessica Bel, MSc WMIPM 2009-10, MSc Web-Marketing & International Project Management Internship at Flunch in Madrid, as a products purchaser

"Being in an international business school sincerely gave me the desire to work and develop within an international context. Meeting and working with students from so many different countries helped me to define my professional plans.

But more than the general context of studying at Skema, it is my choice of MSc which helped me the most. The MSc WM&IPM taught me everything a good project manager needs, professionally and personally.

It taught me how to be a good worker thanks to many tools of project management but it also taught me to be proactive, independent while being a real member of a group!

This MSc perfectly prepared me to enter professional life. Ending studies and becoming a young worker is a big step in life, something that we prepare for many long years, and doing this MSc was the best to properly do this transition.

I'm going to do my internship for four months in Madrid in the Purchasing department of the company Flunch, Spain."

Alexandra Foineau, class of 2010, MSc Web-Marketing & International Project Management Internship with Multihull Solutions, in Sales and Communication

"You enter the MSc Web-Marketing & International Project Management as a student, a few weeks later and you're already behaving like a young professional. The secret of the MSc WM&IPM lies in the unique balance between theoretical courses and real project management throughout the year.

In the MSc WM&IPM, you don’t listen to teachers: you’re coached by experts. And you don’t do exercises, but a real project for a real company.

I am currently in Australia for my internship. After having proved myself during the Boat Show of Sanctuary Cove, the team of Multihull Solutions recruited me for the whole length of my trip in
Oceania. You can now follow me in Australia for my internship thanks to my blog:

I would like to thank the director of the MSc WM&IPM for her help during the academic year 2009 – 2010. Thanks for all your advice and involvement in the building of my professional project.
The MSc WM&IPM allowed me to discover how to apply new technologies in a company, manage a project, but most of all it has given me more self confidence.

Next steps: the Sydney Boat Show in August and a return to Europe in November 2010."

Benoit Ehret, class of 2010, MSc Web-Marketing & International Project Management

Project: Areco

"It’s been great to be able to apply the knowledge we get in class to a real project lead by a company! All the time, you always get relevant support from the teacher-coaches who provide precious advice.

I did not want to end my studies with a general degree in Marketing; rather, I wanted an MSc specialisation which would truly add value to my academic background for my upcoming professional career. It's so good to apply the knowledge you get to a real project. And you always get support from the teacher-coaches who provide precious advice."

Julien Gobeaux, class of  2007, MSc Web-Marketing and International Project Management
Working at Ar’Scene Evolutions as project manager

"One of the first points I’d like to make about the MSc Web-Marketing and International Project Management –and of SKEMA generally– is that practically all the students are either employed, or already on their way to being employed, by the time they graduate. Graduates with the MSc WM&PM qualification are actually able to choose their career path from a variety of options.

The programme is comprehensive internet-tools training yet at the same time it trains students to be operational managers capable of working in wider areas because of its hands-on project management dimension. One of the main advantages of this programme is its alliance of theory and practice by giving students regular access to practising professionals; this combination makes it easy to apply theory to the reality of the market. I now work for an events company in Cannes as project manager."
