The SKEMA Observatory on the Feminisation of Companies

The SKEMA Observatory on the Feminisation of Companies was created by Professor Michel Ferrary.

The objectives of the SKEMA Observatory on the Feminisation of Companies are:

• Conduct an inventory of the feminisation of the workforce and the supervision of major French companies
• Factors explaining the feminisation of large firms
• Analyse the relationship between feminisation and business performance
• Provide elements of analysis for socially responsible investment

Michel Ferrary is a professor of management at the University of Geneva and an affiliate researcher at SKEMA Business School. He published in 2010, in the CNRS journal, Travail, genre et sociétés (/Work, Gender and Societies), the article "Do women influence the performance of companies?"And in 2013 the article "Femina Index: Betting on Gender Diversity is a Profitable SRI Strategy" in the Corporate Finance Review.

This research on the feminisation of companies is regularly taken up by the French media (Le Monde, L'Express, Les Echos, TF1, France3, BFMTV, RMC, etc.) and foreign (Financial Times, Washington Post, Business Week, BBC, among many others).
