SKEMA Alumni association - how it will help you in your career

SKEMA Alumni Association services are available to you as soon as you become a student here, not just after graduation. By using the association’s services, you can start building your professional network from your first day on campus.

As a student, the alumni directory and the ‘afterwork’ networking meetings will be of particular benefit to you.

There are over 23 000 SKEMA graduates in key positions in 122 countries worldwide.

The online alumni directory has info and contact details for all SKEMA alumni worldwide. You can do searches by sector, company, location, degree obtained…  So let’s say you want to contact SKEMA graduates who are working in finance in New York and who did the MSc Financial Markets & Investments, you can do that search –and contact the relevant graduates– with the SKEMA Alumni Directory.

For many graduates and students, the SKEMA alumni directory has been essential in their successful job finding.

The networking meetings (called ‘afterworks’) are organised around certain themes: a sector or a company for example. Participating students meet and get advice from professionals, building their professional networks.

To optimise their job-search, we advise our students to attend the afterworks as well as using the alumni directory.

When you become a SKEMA graduate, as well as using the directory, you will also be able to participate in the International Clubs. The International Clubs are located in 36 countries (see list below). Each club has between two and five organisers (called SKEMA Alumni ambassadors)who have been living in the country for a few years already.

The International Clubs are also open to SKEMA students. The Clubs can prove valuable for students who are studying abroad or doing their internship abroad.

SKEMA subsidises these clubs, giving financial and logistical support. One of the clubs’ roles is to welcome new SKEMA alumni to a country or city. As well as that, the clubs also hold three meetings per year (funded by SKEMA). The organisers can do what they like for these meetings as long as one of the meetings is fun, one of them is professional, and one of them is sporting. All SKEMA graduates and students located in the country or city are invited.

The International Club meetings give SKEMA graduates the opportunity to build their network, make friends, and have fun: the best way to settle in to life in a new country or a new city.

To become a member of the SKEMA Alumni association, all SKEMA students pay a one-time €500 membership fee along with their tuition fees. This membership is valid for life.

Here’s the list of countries where the International Clubs are located:
Morocco, United Kingdom, China, United States, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Canada, Spain, Lebanon, UAE, Singapore, Australia, Tunisia, Vietnam, Norway, India, Ivory Coast, Netherlands, Russia, Italy, Thailand, Ireland, Brazil, Colombia and the Andean region, Cameroon, Israel, Poland and France
