A tale of two Chinese MSc students

Published on 04 July 2016

SKEMA students Dongyu Liao and Zifan Chen have a lot of things in common – they are both from China, share a good sense of humour and a deep friendship and studied on SKEMA’s Sophia Antipolis campus. Also, they are already enjoying success in their careers:

Dongyu works as administration assistant of the director for Food & Beverage at the classy Four Seasons hotel in Shenzhen, where she helps the F&B department to prepare, design and update the menu for each catering outlet (there are two restaurants, one bar, one lounge and ten private dining rooms) and assists in the communication with other departments in the hotel, especially Sales & Marketing and Purchasing. One of her many duties includes the tasting of new dishes.

Zifan is starting her internship in Nice at the ChewChunks, which is a start-up company for developing a video making tool. She will work as a digital marketing intern to look for potential customers and to promote the video app through digital marketing campaigns, and she is very excited about her new intern life.

But vive la différence: the friends were attracted by the variety of MSc programmes on offer at SKEMA. While Dongyu started her studies in MSc Strategic Event Management & Tourism Management in 2014, Zifan joined the Digital Marketing MSc in 2015.
