BBA Raleigh, USA: student wins first prize for start up

Published on 18 April 2018

Cyril Vanneste, BBA student, won first prize and $5000 in the Arts Venture category for his innovative application for live musicians: Live!

Thursday 5 April, NC State University's annual start-up competition, Lulu eGames, gathered an audience of 500 to award prizes to the 178 participating start-ups. The spotlight was Cyril Vanneste who won the first prize in his category, Arts Venture.

Live! Is a mobile application that shows quickly, easily (and for free) all the places and artists in the surrounding area who play in the style you're looking for. The application is also an excellent way for musicians to get known locally. Live! The app provides information on the locality, lets you listen to a sample of the artist before going to see them and tells you how to get there.

The app is a complete tool to manage musicians’ concerts and their fans on social networks.

The winners were selected by a panel of judges after two rounds of the competition that combined a business plan and an in-person pitch. We offer our hearty congratulations to Cyril and wish him all success.
