Favourable work visa conditions for Indian students in France

Published on 24 April 2017

Despite recent changes to Australian laws and the uncertainty concerning Brexit, Indian students coming to study at SKEMA in France are still benefitting from the French government-backed initiative allowing Indian students to stay on and work in France (or any of the other 26 Schengen countries).

This policy allows Indian students to stay on and work in France and the EU for two years after completing a master’s degree.

These students also get a five-year tourist visa, allowing multiple entry.

This means that Indian students graduating from SKEMA will have a huge range of career opportunities opening up to them after graduating with a master’s degree from SKEMA.

Backing up all these opportunities for Indian students in France is the target, announced by France’s foreign affairs minister in January, to attract 10,000 Indian students to study in the country by 2020, more than twice the current number. The idea is that Indian student intake should match India’s and France’s trade generation.
