MSc Financial Markets & Investments director on China, Suzhou campus for presentation

​​18 November, Christophe Dispas, co-director of the MSc Financial Markets & Investments, gave a talk on SKEMA’s Suzhou campus. The talk was titled "Market evolution: consequences of increased rates in the USA".

Christophe runs the SKEMA D​epartment of Finance and Accounting and is co-director of the school’s MSc Financial Markets & Investments (ranked 6th in the world by the Financial Times in 2015). With 18 years’ experience, he is specialised in fixed revenues and quantitative management.
After describing the world economic context (including China) he explained how financial markets and monetary policies work on a global level, analysing key financial and economic indicators and the relationship between them. After this introduction, he illustrated the theme describing the impacts of a rise in US rates on the financial markets in the USA, the Eurozone, Japan and emerging markets (including China).
 
He concluded with a look at the future in terms of market rates and answered the public’s questions on the increase in rates, the stock market etc.
