Published on 28 January 2016

The MSc International Business now has its first cohort of 47 students on SKEMA’s Brazil campus at Belo Horizonte. The International Business MSc can be studied on four of SKEMA’s campuses, in China (Suzhou), USA (Raleigh), France (Sophia Antipolis), as well as Brazil.

January 15 was the first day of teaching. The very first class was Portuguese.

MSc International Business courses on the Brazil campus are localised to the South American context and draw on local business leaders who participate in teaching and lectures.

Yassine Zaim, a student, explains why he chose the Brazil campus: “As I had always dreamt of working in South America, the opening of the SKEMA Brazilian campus was a real opportunity for me.

"SKEMA’s partner here is the Fundaçao Dom Cabral, which is one of the best universities in South America. We can meet working people here, for sure. Emilie Chidiac, another MSc International Business student, gives her reasons: "Since I come from a multicultural background, I wished to do this MSc on the Brazil campus as it seemed to be the best fit for me in terms of interest and opportunities.

"Brazil is a strong and growing economy which offers many possibilities for young managers. I truly recommend an experience here in Brazil, I would do it all over again if I had the opportunity. Ordem e Progresso”

The SKEMA campus is located in Belo Horizonte, Brazil’s third most important city for business, in a region with a booming economy. It was opened in partnership with Fundação Dom Cabral, Latin America’s best business school according to the Financial Times Executive Education ranking 2014. This partnership provides great opportunities to students for action learning on international business-related areas with local companies.
