Talk by Géraldine Le Meur (SKEMA 1995): What an entrepreneur needs to know before moving to Silicon Valley.

17 January, SKEMA welcomed Géraldine Le Meur (SKEMA 1995), entrepreneur and co-founder of The Refiners in San Francisco. Elected one of the 50 Most inspiring Women in Tech in Europe 2016, champion of digital technology, spoke about “What an entrepreneur needs to know before moving to Silicon Valley”.

Le Meur was in person on the Sophia Antipolis campus in a multi-campus video link-up involving students on all the French campuses (Facebook Live and Twitter too).

An established web personality, Le Meur is known for having launched and co-managed the famous LeWeb conference with her husband Loïc Le Meur. The conference attracted some of the most prestigious speakers from the digital economy to Paris.

Now based in San Francisco and co-founder of The Refiners, a start-up accelerator that helps young foreign start-ups to assimilate the cultural codes of Silicon Valley and develop their own networks in the area, Le Meur is also an angel investor.

She is regularly invited to speak on the evolution of start-up ecosystems and perspectives for development both in France and the US. She is also a shareholder and board member of several young companies.

Le Meur recently accepted an invitation to join SKEMA’s board of administration.

As well as Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram, Géraldine is very active on Facebook sharing a great number of videos and interviews.
