SKEMA actively participated in the main meetings of these days focused on the theme of "Higher education for the innovative and entrepreneurial talents of tomorrow".
On May 12, over 150 university representatives from 87 universities in 26 countries and regions gathered together at the 2018 Presidents’ Forum of UASR, with a focus this year on: higher education for innovative and entrepreneurial talents of tomorrow. SKEMA Business School was the only French business school invited to participate in the panel discussion.
Matthieu Dumont (pictured, with with Mr Wang Shuguo, on the right, President of Xi'an Jiaotong University), SKEMA China campus director, explained “Accurate positioning of the role of universities in today’s society is the priority for any university. With the vigorous development of innovative industries such as artificial intelligence, traditional industries are facing important changes. So universities have to modernie their way of delivering the knowledge future managers will need in order to fit markets and new opportunities”.
May 13, the 2018 World-Class Universities Expo was held in Xi'an Jiaotong University. Eighty-seven famous universities and schools from all over the world participated in the expo. The booth of SKEMA Business School attracted many visitors.
The University Alliance of Silk Road (UASR) was established in May 2015, initiated in part by Xi'an Jiaotong University. Today, 136 universities and colleges from 36 countries and regions have joined this alliance with the goal of building educational collaboration and promoting economic growth in countries along the Silk Road economic belt. As a founding member, SKEMA invests alongside other educational institutions along the Silk Road, to train talents with international visions and to promote the exchange and development of the internationalisation of education.
