SKEMA in top two of schools for international students

Published on 22 March 2018

SKEMA and ESCP Europe have been ranked the top two schools for number of international students in France.

5 386 international students from 125 countries graduated from French business schools in 2016. In 2017, 49 schools took part in the l'Etudiant rankings. EducPros used these data to find the graduates’ geographical origin and the most attractive schools for international students. SKEMA comes in second place just after ESCP Europe.

French business schools are recognised worldwide for their accreditations (EQUIS, AACSB, AMBA, ...) and for their good results in international rankings, particularly that of the FT. French business schools have no trouble recruiting foreign students (outside Europe) who seek international experience in a high quality education system.

The article presenting the ranking explains "SKEMA Business School comes second in our ranking with 375 foreign graduates. Based in France in Lille, Nice and Paris, the school has opened campuses on three other continents with sites in Suzhou in China, Raleigh in the US and Belo Horizonte in Brazil. In this way, the school attracts large numbers of foreign students".

The study also tells us that China and Morocco are the two countries that have provided the highest number of foreign students to French business schools. Germany is the third in terms of graduates followed by Italy, Algeria, Spain, the UK and the US.

The article concludes: "By investing massively in recruiting foreign professors who teach in English, French business schools have convinced many student profiles to try their luck in France".
