Students at SKEMA’s Suzhou campus in China have another thing to look forward to in the upcoming academic session: the new student union office.

SKEMA Suzhou BDS student association

The SKEMA Suzhou student union has been created by merging two student societies: Collect'Active (related to sustainable development) and Happiness (related to well-being).

While it already exists at the Paris, Sophia and Lille campuses, it has now expanded to the Suzhou campus. The event coincides with the celebration of the 10th anniversary of SKEMA's Suzhou campus in China.

The new student union will take care of student life within and outside the campus while upholding the main missions of the student societies from which it originated. It will assist students to settle down at the campus and deal with culture shock, if necessary. Its objective is to help students avoid any inconvenience and ensure that they have an unforgettable experience during their time in China.

The student union at Suzhou will have three main areas of focus: student life, events and activities, and Chinese culture. Students will have the opportunity to make new friends and discover China in various interesting ways. The union will also conduct activities around the "science of happiness" such as meditation, yoga and pilates to help students feel comfortable in their own skin.

The president of the student union is Aurélie Bao (aurelie1.bao@skema.edu) and the vice-president is Maryline Xaysy (maryline.xaysy@skema.edu).
