SKEMA BUSINESS SCHOOL

 

 

History

​​​​​SKEMA Business School is a private higher education and research institution under the status of a non-profit association. SKEMA was born in 2009 from the merger between Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Lille (ESC Lille) and CERAM Business School, Sophia Antipolis. These two founding schools were created in 1892 and 1963, respectively.

​Creation of ESC Lille (Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Lille).​

​1963​

​Creation of ESC Nice, which later became CERAM (Centre d'Enseignement et de Recherche Appliqués au Management) when it moved to the first European technology park in Sophia Antipolis.​

2009

June

Opening of the first international campus in Suzhou, China.

​Official creation of SKEMA Business School, resulting from the merger of CERAM Business School and ESC Lille.​

​2011​

January

Launch of the Raleigh campus in North Carolina, United States.

​2015

July

​SKEMA obtains from the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, the qualification of Établissement d'Enseignement Supérieur Privé d'Intérêt Général (private higher education institution of general interest) or EESPIG.

September

Launch of the Belo Horizonte campus in Brazil.

​2020​

January

Launch of the Stellenbosch campus in South Africa.

April

Launch of the Artificial Intelligence Innovation Centre in Montreal QC, Canada.​

July

Creation of a joint school with Nanjing Audit University and a joint master's degree with the prestigious Xi'an Jiaotong University.

​2021

January​

Opening of the new Grand Paris campus.

​2022

March

​Creation of the SKEMA Publika think tank, launch of a new "AI School for Business", and the SKEMA Transitions programme announced.
