Accreditations and recognitions

SKEMA - School of Knowledge Economy and Management - is multi-accredited: EQUIS, AACSB, EFMD Accredited EMBA. Its programmes are recognised in France (Visa, Grade de licence, Grade de Master, RNCP, CGE label), the United States (Licencing), Brazil (Certifiçao) and China (recognition by the Ministry of Education).

The school is certified ISO 9001 for the quality of its management and ISO 14001 for its environmental management. It has also been awarded the EESPIG label and is a member of the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles (CGE) and the Conférences des Directeurs et Directrices des Ecoles Françaises de Management (CDEFM).

SKEMA holds three world-class academic accreditations:

The AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) label, created in 1916, is an accreditation that rewards international business schools for the quality of their bachelor's, master's and doctoral programmes. Accreditation is a voluntary, non-governmental process involving a rigorous external review of a school's mission, faculty qualifications, training programmes and level of excellence.

EQUIS accreditation, awarded by the European organisation EFMD, is one of the leading international systems for assessing, improving, and accrediting the quality of business schools. EQUIS is a comprehensive system for examining the quality of business and management schools. Its rigorous peer review process signals to students, employers, and academic partners worldwide the school's overall quality, sustainability, and commitment to improvement. The internationally recognised label is often a prerequisite for entry into the rankings.

EFMD programme accreditation is the most comprehensive accreditation system for business and/or management degrees and courses, including face-to-face, hybrid and/or online training. It is a benchmark for internationally recognised programmes. SKEMA holds this accreditation for its Global Executive MBA programme.

Certifications and labels

ISO 9001 (2015 version) is the most widely used quality management standard. It provides guarantees in terms of organisational quality within any type of structure. ISO 9001 certification provides proof that a continuous improvement system has been set up within an organisation. The standard includes the main principles of quality management: customer orientation, leadership, collaboration, process approach, documented decision-making, risk management, and management of relations with interested parties.

ISO 14001 (2015 version)is the most widely used standard for environmental management. SKEMA is ISO 14001 certified for its campuses in France.

SKEMA was awarded the DD/RS (Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility) label in 2023. Created in 2015, this label recognises the sustainable development and social responsibility initiatives of French higher education and research establishments.

Article L.6316-4 II of the French Labour Code recognises the status of higher education establishments in terms of the 4 categories of actions contributing to skills development.

The "Bienvenue en France" label distinguishes French higher education establishments that have developed facilities to welcome international students. A mark of confidence, the label attests to the quality of the welcome provided and represents a promotional and outreach tool for the establishment.
