About the city


Nanjing, a mix of history and modernityNanjing is located near the lower streams of the Yangtze River. As the capital city of Jiangsu Province, Nanjing has a profound historical and cultural heritage and is known as the "Ancient Capital of the Six Dynasties" of China. It has 68 colleges and universities of various types, second only to Beijing and Shanghai, and has a strong scientific and educational influence in China. 

In addition, Nanjing is also an important economic centre in the Yangtze River Delta region. Its financial, manufacturing and information industries have developed rapidly, attracting many companies to settle in, and has many large international local companies such as Suning Group and Yurun Group.

As an important city in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, Nanjing is about a one-hour away from Shanghai and Suzhou by train. With a well-developed transportation network, Nanjing is gradually becoming an important choice for graduates seeking international employment.


Campus life


NAU Poukou campusThe International Joint Audit Institute NAU-SKEMA was jointly established by SKEMA Business School and Nanjing Audit University (NAU) in 2020. Approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education as 2020’s first batch of Chinese-Foreign cooperatively-run institutions of higher education, this institute offers a four-year full-time undergraduate programme and recruits 300 Chinese students each year through GAOKAO for its four specialisations. The programmes are delivered on the Pukou campus of Nanjing Audit University. Students obtain two diplomas: the NAU General Undergraduate Diploma of Higher Education and the SKEMA 4-year Global BBA Diploma.


The  International Joint Audit Institute NAU-SKEMA is situated at the NAU Pukou campus, which covers an area of 145.2 hectares. NAU is located in the beautiful Nanjing Laoshan National Forest Park and along the Yangtze River and has more than 20,000 teachers and students.

There are various services and facilities on campus, such as restaurants, laundry rooms, gyms, buses, etc., for the convenience of students. In addition, the school organises a variety of cultural and sports activities for students, such as music, basketball, aerobics, table tennis, hip-hop and so on. The campus has four playgrounds and a dedicated student organisation and activity centre, providing a venue for students to carry out a variety of activities.



Library: The total construction area is 35,257 square meters, with a total of 3,568 seats. The library is rich in resources and currently has 1.63 million volumes of various books, 3.35 million electronic books, and more than 40 electronic databases in Chinese and foreign languages.


Business ecosystem


Nanjing is committed to becoming an innovative city with global influence, with a developed local economy and many industrial clusters and industrial parks. These clusters and parks provide SKEMA Business School students with a wide range of international employment options.

For example, Nanjing Jiangning Development Zone is a national-level economic and technological development zone approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Government. It is also an international scientific and technological innovation pioneer zone, including Jiangsu Software Park, Jiangning Development Zone, Jiulong Lake International Enterprise Headquarters Park and other science and technology parks. The economic and industrial development in this zone has taken place rapidly, attracting more than 4,000 industrial projects from 46 countries and regions including the United States, Germany, South Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong, China.

There are 55 listed companies in the park and the headquarters of 61 Fortune 500 companies. These include LG (South Korea), Sharp (Japan), Bosch Siemens (Germany), A.O. Smith (United States), and TSMC.

Shanghai: It is merely a two-hour drive from Nanjing to Shanghai, the economic centre of China and one of the largest cities in the world. It is one of the four directly-controlled municipalities of the People's Republic of China, with a population of more than 24 million. It is a global financial centre and a transport hub with the world's busiest container port.

There are several cities such as Changzhou, Zhenjiang and Chuzhou, and others, which are among China’s most famous historic and cultural places.
