SKEMA students to work on AI-based solutions for challenges set by Porsche France
SKEMA Business School has partnered with Porsche for a unique educational experience. The partnership is for the “Artificial Intelligence in Marketing” course of our MSc Artificial Intelligence for Business Transformation programme, within SKEMA AI School for Business. Under the guidance of Margherita Pagani, professor of artificial intelligence in marketing and director of the research centre, SKEMA Centre for Artificial Intelligence, students got the opportunity to tackle real-world challenges set by Porsche. The winning teams will present their innovative solutions to Porsche France's board of directors in December.
These challenges were addressed in parallel with the course the students were taking, thus providing them with a robust academic framework for tackling these complex issues. The students were aided in their endeavours by mentoring sessions and workshops. The jury consisted of three managers from Porsche France and three professors from SKEMA. The teams also benefited from feedback from Porsche on their projects, and the company was satisfied with the quality of the work provided.
The academic programme
This course is integrated into the MSc Artificial Intelligence for Business Transformation, which aims to train professionals who understand the workings of AI, its potential and limitations. Half of the courses are taught by our partner ESIEA, which mainly focuses on AI algorithms and programming.
The other half is taught by SKEMA professors, focusing on the management of AI and applied projects in data science with our industrial partners, such as Microsoft. "The two winning projects will be presented to Porsche France's board of directors in December, and it's an invaluable opportunity for our students to discuss how AI systems can bring real added value to organisations," emphasises Margherita Pagani.
