From 30 September to 2 October, students from the Grand Paris and Lille campuses of SKEMA Business School will embark on a cycling journey from Lille to the Grand Paris campus. Over 30 students will participate in this 230-kilometre sporting and charitable endeavour, to support the Les Enfants de la Balle charity association.
Organised by students from the sports offices, this Lille-to-Paris cycle ride has been designed to promote values such as inclusivity, accessibility to sports, and the spirit of solidarity. All funds raised during the race will be donated to the charity "Les Enfants de la Balle", which works to provide disabled children access to sports. "This initiative aims to encourage the entire student community to engage in a cause that has a significant impact on the lives of children with disabilities," says Eliott George, a first-year student in the Master in Management (PGE) programme and the communications officer of the Lille Sports Office.
Yearly initiative
The students behind the project intend to make this initiative an annual tradition that will welcome more students each year, thereby becoming a regular part of the charitable calendar. "It's a demonstration of the power of teamwork, individual determination, and altruism in action," conclude the students who started the project
