Support campaign for Ukrainian refugees
The campaign to collect basic necessities for refugees from Ukraine is continuing on the Sophia Antipolis campus, thanks to the mobilisation of the students of the humanitarian association HOPE and, more generally, of all the employees and partners of SKEMA Business School.
Launched on Friday, 4 March, by the HOPE association's members, the donation collection system on the Sophia Antipolis campus enables SKEMA students and employees to drop off food and hygiene products at the reception desk, the BBA building and the Student Life Centre. "We have already made two return trips to the Maison des Associations in Cannes, which then takes care of transporting the boxes of food, clothing and hygiene products to the Polish-Ukrainian border. There are about four of us, with the president Eva Monchi, who take care of all the logistics with the help of SKEMA, which provides us with a lorry and a driver," explains Lola Brundu, a student in her third year of the Master in Management (PGE) and head of the humanitarian and international section of the HOPE association in Sophia Antipolis.
Third round trip already planned
On the Sophia Antipolis association side, a solidarity movement has been established and the existence of the collection is conveyed at each association event. Each time, about twenty large boxes have been sent to the Cannes office. The next departure (the third since the launch of the operation) is planned around the end of March.
