Our vision is to produce current and future leaders who want to make a positive impact on the world in the areas of supply chain management and procurement. To achieve that we have created a truly global, world-class programme of exceptional quality, which aims to be the leader in its area worldwide.
World's leading experts as lecturers
The foundation of a world-leading programme is exceptional teachers. To create future leaders, we need today's successful leaders as their teachers. This is why our programme probably has the most successful (industry) experts compared with all other master programmes in our area in the world.
Do you know of any supply chain management or procurement programme...
where the negotiation and leadership class is taught by an FBI director?
where a class in self-improvement for leaders is taught by one of the leading neuroscience experts of the world (named a Top 40 Professor in the world)?
where a procurement class is taught by a head of procurement of a huge global corporation with a revenue of more than 10 billion dollars?
where a supply chain consulting class is taught by a managing director of one of the leading consultancies in the world?
Or where a supply chain finance class is taught by a managing director of a bank?
This is our programme. Our goal is to build the leading programme by having the best, most experienced and successful leaders of today to teach the leading people of tomorrow.
Why choose this programme
The MIT Center of Transportation and Logistics (CTL) in Cambridge, Massachusetts is probably the leading business school in the world regarding quantitative aspects of supply chain management.
Students will get five certificates and a Micro Master credential from MIT CTL. They will also become MIT CTL alumni, able to interact and network with fellow credential holders and gain access to MIT CTL library journals.
Internationally recognised academic researchers and highly regarded professionals teach on the programme.
Multi-campus programme: initially opened in Lille (France), it is now taught in Suzhou (China) and soon in Raleigh (US), Stellenbosch (South Africa) and Belo Horizonte (Brazil),
The programme combines the highly specialised business analytical skills provided by MIT CTL with courses that mix business trends and leadership skills.
International student exchange with MIP Milano once a year, for elective courses.
This MSc not only provides soft skills in supply chain management and purchasing management, but also digs deep into future trends in digitalisation and artificial intelligence, sustainability, ethics, globalisation, risk management and agility. Graduates are able to create value for their company and have a positive impact on the world.
The MIT CTL x MicroMasters Programme in SCM consists of five online courses that cover the fundamentals of supply chain management. These asynchronous online courses delivered by MIT CTL instructors will be augmented by synchronous instruction taught by professors at SKEMA.
The SKEMA MSc programme is comprised of four courses over the academic year: sustainability, new technologies (blockchain, big data, AI), market volatility, and soft skills (leadership, negotiation, communication).
SKEMA has also recruited 12 field experts who will regularly share their experiences with the class.
International student exchange with MIP Milano
MIP Milano is, beside our programme, the other leading master's degree programme in the world with regards procurement. This makes them ideal partners to give a second perspective on this important topic. Once a year, our students have the opportunity to do an international student exchange for elective courses and can go to the beautiful MIP campus in Milan, while some master's degree students from MIP will come to do our electives.
Harvard Business Publishing
We make sure to use the best class materials that exist. Harvard Business Publishing is, for many business schools, the highest quality source of class materials in the world. This is why our programme has a partnership with Harvard Business Publishing, and we use not only their renowned cases, but also other world class material like simulations and the mentor, which is designed to help and make great leaders. All these materials are also used at Harvard for teaching their students.
