"My two years at SKEMA have been extremely enriching in complementary ways. The management foundations we learned in the first year provided me with the necessary background which I’m able to use now in my everyday job. In fact, I did not expect to use as much finance and accounting as a junior consultant in tourism. "The first year programme opened my mind in many ways. I met students from all over the world and it was very interesting to work together on projects and exchange our ideas in different business contexts.
The campus in Sophia Antipolis is clearly unique, as it offers opportunities for personal development for everyone.
During the first year programme, I was able to actively pursue my passions for rugby and the hotel industry in different student societies. The association and society network is very strong here at SKEMA and one can easily join a group of interest, in order to gain expertise and meet likeminded colleagues. The high quality of student life on the French Riviera was also another huge bonus for this experience.

"My semester at SKEMA La Defense campus in Paris during the Two-Year MSc was a highly valuable experience in my studies, enabling me to gain insights into business contexts I was not familiar with before and meet people from a variety of different backgrounds. Studying in La Defense, the buzzing business district of Paris is an experience in itself- the packed metro, the skyscrapers and the masses of people coming together every day. The campus is perfectly set in this environment and students benefit from the variety of companies around and SKEMA's business contacts.
Students in my Two-Year MSc group had all done different studies prior to entering the course and it was very interesting for me to exchange ideas and work on different group projects together. What I will remember most is the aspect of networking and learning from one another. Throughout the semester we were highly supported in our internship search and each got appointed to a coach, a professional, who gave us advice on our professional project and who acted as a supervisor during our internships. This training reinforced my career plans and made me choose an internship in web marketing for a startup online travel guide in Paris.
Overall, the first year of the Two-Year MSc is the perfect introduction to your MSc specialisation year, as it gives you a general business framework and helps you clarify your career plans; and for me, I had all the benefits of living in the amazing city of Paris!"

"The first year programme allowed me to gain relevant understanding and knowledge about business management from the high quality of teaching and programme content. I was very satisfied with the friendly, international and multi-cultural environment at SKEMA. I was on the campus in Sophia Antipolis.
At SKEMA, there are a variety of resources, which enrich our student lives. As a part of the first year programme, I worked for LEAD Guide, one of the student societies, examining their marketing strategies and promoting their magazines to luxury hotels and restaurants on the French Riviera. This experience enhanced my teamwork skills and creativity.
The alumni department provided me with good connections and a network of SKEMA graduates around the world. During my internship in Shanghai, SKEMA alumni even organised some events in Shanghai and the Suzhou SKEMA campus for students who were doing their internships there.
