Clarivate Analytics publishes the Top 100 most cited researchers in the world in 21 disciplines. In the 2017 edition, Florencio Lopez de Silanes is also in the Top 100 of the best economists worldwide, beside other colleagues from a French institution: Philippe Aghion (Paris School of Economics) and Jean Tirole, Nobel prize for economics 2014 (Toulouse School of Economics).

Florencio Lopez de Silanes graduated from Harvard University in 1993, he taught at Harvard then Yale before coming to Europe in 2005. He joined SKEMA as a research professor on 1 February 2017. He is the director of the school’s new laboratory in finance research: Finance and Accounting Insights on Risk and Regulation (FAIRR).
