Several cultural events were held for the newcomers, including the Amazing Race 2017.
For the first time, the Suzhou campus is receiving exchange students from the Ecole Ferrières. On this occasion, the campus organised an Amazing Race on 8 January 2017. Collaborating closely with local media, the race was followed by students on campus and also by 60 thousand people online – for Wireless Suzhou alone!
Sixteen students from the Ecole Ferrières and 16 from SKEMA were split into seven mixed groups that carried out ten cultural missions in Suzhou. The objective was to enable all to learn about Suzhou and Chinese culture. This activity was co-organised with Study at Dushulake, and supported by local partners, including the city authorities of Suzhou and SIP, Hovle Mansion Club & Hotel Suzhou, Qingdiao Suzhou, Heyan Qipao and Soochow University.
