Published on 15 March 2018

MSc Luxury & Fashion Management students worked in teams to write a professional report to be presented at the Fifth International Conference on Information Technology & Quantitative Management (ITQM 2017).

This is one of the conference series held by the International Academy of Information Technology and Quantitative Management, held in New Delhi December 8, 2017.

An overall of 17 papers were presented on a range of five topics, seven of which were selected and approved for publishing as two reports discussing: “Duty free shops: are luxury brands being democratised?” and “Luxury toys for men”, the first was granted a “Best Paper Award”.

Students had to acquire expertise in research and critical thinking applied to niche issues of great relevance in regards to contemporary issues. Students’ involvement in managing and developing this project led them to improve academic writing skills and ability to work under pressure and in a limited time.

The importance of this work is the relevance of the conference to the professional world, which gives visibility and credibility to the MSc Luxury & Fashion Management authors, while bolstering their CVs and academic profiles.
