China campus: Startup Kafe, and SK Ventures Club founding

The first Startup Kafe event of the year was held recently along with a ceremony for the founding of the SKEMA Venture student club.

November 2, after a brief welcome by the manager of SKEMA Ventures, China, Chali Zhou, the first Startup Kafé of the fall semester 2020 in SKEMA Suzhou campus began. Seven students gave two-minute elevator pitches about their business ideas to the audience, covering a wide range of sectors such as education, food, IT and sport.

After a short break, an unexpected ceremony was unveiled. The audience witnessed the establishment of SKEMA Ventures Club, China, which is a brand new student society related to entrepreneurship and innovation on SKEMA's Suzhou campus.

This student club was founded by five student founders: Beibei Liu, Shannon Levy, Yangming Zhang, Qingwei Liu and Shike Xuan. 

The club's mission is: 
  • Exchange students' entrepreneurial ideas
  • Training students in entrepreneurship skills
  • Help students start their own businesses. 
SKEMA Ventures Club will also work on project incubation and entrepreneurial vitality for students on the Suzhou campus and in networking across all SKEMA campuses..
