More than 30 people came together for this initiative on 23 June and managed to fill 14 bags of waste, including 6.4kg of cigarette butts and 5.1kg of beer bottle capsules.
After cleaning the park and the La Villette basin, they sorted the waste and made an inventory. Père & Fish also organised a zero-waste picnic for all the participants to strengthen the commitment of working towards a sustainable planet.
“We were all shocked by the number of cigarette butts on the ground. Each participant spent more than half of their time just picking up cigarette butts! We hope more people participate in the next event; everyone can make a difference, no matter how big or small. We are grateful to all the participants for their contribution,” said Alex Rafaitin, a SKEMA graduate and one of the founders of Père & Fish.
