"Espero com Camille Murris" launches a crowdfounding campaign

Published on 18 February 2020

The HOPE association is continuing its actions to honour the memory of Camille Murris, a SKEMA alumna who died in 2016, by launching the 2020 fundraiser to pursue its plans to extend a centre providing care to underprivileged children in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

In the long term, this project aims to double the Tecendo a Vida centre’s current capacity so that it can welcome 120 children and give them more space to play, express themselves and discover where their passion lies.

The 2020 fundraising campaign will be open until 1 March. The goal is to raise €5,000 to bring Camille’s dream to life and ensure that her love and commitment to others live on.

Last year, thanks to the online crowdfunding campaign, the construction workers and students made significant progress. Last July, a group of SKEMA students visited the centre: the piping had been installed, the walls built the previous year had been sanded and smoothed, the façade wall and the ground outside had been redone. Building work then continued at the site each week.
A new group of students will visit the centre in July this year to kick off the construction of the first floor. This is essential work, which is why this crowdfunding campaign is crucial to achieve Camille’s dream to help South American children.
