Fintech and digital finance conference

Published on 27 June 2019

May 23-24, SKEMA Business School hosted an academic conference on financial technology and digital finance organised by the FAIRR Research Centre at its Sophia Antipolis campus.

The prestigious Journal of Corporate Finance co-sponsored the conference and published a special issue associated with it. Delegates from top-ranked international institutions gathered at SKEMA's Sophia Antipolis campus for two days of high-level presentations on key topics in fintech and digital finance, such as crowdfunding, cryptocurrencies, payment technology and platforms.

Academic papers were picked after a rigorous selection process to safeguard the quality of the event. Andrei Shleifer, John L. Loeb Professor of Economics at Harvard University, gave the keynote speech.

The conference also included Florencio Lopez de Silanes, professor of finance and associate dean of academic strategy, and Helen Bollaert, professor of finance and research dean.
