Gartner on US campus for students' internships and jobs

Published on 19 May 2017

On 30 March, SKEMA’s Raleigh campus (US) welcomed the firm Gartner, world leader in research and consulting in information technology.

The firm came to meet SKEMA students interested in internships or employment in this area in the UK. Shelly Groves and Sarah Ballard from the UK office and Jessica Garcia from the US represented Gartner.

Over 150 students took part in the event – this is the biggest number to attend Gartner presentations in an academic institution. The aim was to inform students about the firm, its business environment and their impact on clients. Students could also attend interviews with Gartner professionals for internships or employment. Currently several students have been invited to London for the final presentations.

Michael Rodriguez (SKEMA professor) was also invited to “Professor Day” at the Gartner HQ in Fort Meyers, Florida from 21 - 23 June. Here, a number of universities and their professors will have the opportunity to learn more about Gartner, the firm’s positioning and opportunities.

Oussama Ammar (academic director) spoke with Gartner about the perspectives for collaboration with SKEMA in terms of programmes offered on the Raleigh campus, for example the MSc in International Business.
