Prof Ferrary appointed to High Council for Equality

The French prime minister appointed SKEMA professor and researcher Michel Ferrary to the High Council for Equality between Women and Men, 25 June.

​Researcher Michel Ferrary, affiliated to SKEMA, heads the SKEMA Observatory on the Feminisation of Companies, which publishes a much-awaited study every year that attracts a lot of media interest.

The nominees are chosen based on their “expertise and experience in the areas of women's rights and equality between women and men.” This nomination is a real honour and true recognition of his work, demonstrating that academic research can contribute to the political debate on equality.

Michel Ferrary is professor of management at the University of Geneva and a research affiliate at SKEMA Business School. He is a graduate of IEP Paris (Master in Management), the EHESS-Polytechnique-Université Paris X-Nanterre (Master in Economics) and the Université Paris VII-René Diderot (Master in Sociology). He has also obtained a PhD in Management from HEC Paris and is authorised to lead research at the University of Toulouse.

He has published several academic articles on the issue of equality in the workplace and corporate performance.
