MSc Global Luxury students run social media campaigns for real US clients

Published on 21 October 2021

This semester, SKEMA USA's Professor Patrice Nealon organised a competition allowing the Global Luxury and Management MSc students to design and lead social media marketing campaigns for two clients in the fashion and luxury industries.

In September, MSc Global Luxury and Management students met with two company owners based in Raleigh, NC: Julie, owner and manager of the shop J’Alanes, and Marta, running her namesake store Marta’s.

The students formed eight teams, four per client, and collaborated on the development of new social media marketing strategies, including client audit, digital marketing plan and strategy measurement and evaluation. Each team presented their detailed three-week marketing campaign plan to the clients and professor, who selected and announced the two winning teams last week.

The winning students are currently running Instagram and Facebook campaigns for both clients, which includes creating content for their social media pages, partnering with local influencers to increase visibility, managing Facebook ads, and much more. Once the campaign is over, the students and clients will review the results.

The MSc Global Luxury and Management begins in Raleigh, NC in the fall and continues on the SKEMA Grand Paris campus in the spring, thus offering a global, multi-cultural learning experience.
