Students visit New York's financial district

Published on 01 November 2019

US campus students in the MSc Financial Markets and Investments took their annual trip to New York City's financial district, October 17 and 18. Some other SKEMA US students also took part.

Students visited Bloomberg, Wells Fargo and Nasdaq, the stock exchange where students were able to hear the famous bell.

Mehdi, one of the students explained afterwards: “The New York trip was an amazing opportunity to visit a beautiful city and at the same time have the chance to be at the beating heart of one of the world's financial centres. It was unforgettable to witness a real-life IPO. Bloomberg's offices were so welcoming. And meeting investment banking employees from Wells Fargo and Credit Suisse was insightful. This is an interesting trip for any finance devotees, for you can truly see what the industry is and the requirements needed."

François, another student, was enthusiastic too: “The New York banking field trip was a great, memorable experience: the Nasdaq opening bell and also all the networking opportunities we had throughout the visits and the alumni event.”
