MSc Tourism students at future of tourism conference, Cannes

Published on 12 February 2019

MSc Strategic Event and Tourism Management students participated at the big INTO Days (International Tourism & Innovation Days) event, which brought together professionals in these fields.

29 to 31 January, the city of Cannes welcomed big shots from the tourism sector to the Palais des Festivals.

Cannes is just a half-hour drive from SKEMA's Sophia Antipolis campus.

Tourism is growing strongly, having created some 20% of global employment over the last ten years. The INTO Days conference addressed the new challenges: the growth of the Asian market, innovative customer experiences and the changing tourist ecosystem.

SKEMA was an official partner of the event and MSc Strategic Event Management and Tourism Management students hotly anticipated participating. Our students were invited by Lorène Winckel, the event’s press officer. They were involved at the heart of the event’s organisation and management, bringing together many local and national actors. Our students were even able to take to the stage, to express their visions and ambitions for the tourism of tomorrow.

This event was also a precious networking opportunity for MSc students who are now on the lookout for internships as the MSc year nears its end.
