Pink October: HOPE partners with Antibes hospital

Published on 15 October 2021

Until 31 October, SKEMA students are invited to sign up for a race organised in partnership with the Centre Hospitalier d'Antibes. The goal? To rack up as many kilometres as possible to raise awareness about breast cancer screening.

From communication to finding sponsors and designing t-shirts, the Sophia Antipolis branch of the HOPE student association is actively involved in the Pink October campaign with Centre Hospitalier d'Antibes workers. From 1 October, SKEMA students are invited to register on the Octobre Rose Connecté website to record the distance covered during their daily run. “The students must choose a team and visit the website to log the time spent exercising each day.

This time will then be converted into kilometres. They can walk or run,” explained Adele Camillieri, a student in the Master in Management (PGE) programme on the Sophia Antipolis campus. Through this event, HOPE wishes to inform students about breast cancer, and also encourage them to exercise regularly. The top performers will be awarded prizes donated by the organisers.

Note: There is a fee of one euro per person to participate.
