Romain Cannone: alumnus at top of fencing world

Published on 14 September 2022

Romain Cannone, a graduate of the MSc Auditing, Management Accounting & Information Systems, has won the World Fencing Championship in Epee in Cairo, Egypt. The alumnus has impressively confirmed his achievement at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, proving that his talent owes nothing to chance.

Having just graduated from the SKEMA Business School with an MSc in Auditing, Management Accounting & Information Systems, Romain has now splendidly confirmed his world number one ranking through his sword.

During his time at SKEMA, Romain benefited from a specific programme enabling students who practise a high-level sport to combine a sporting career with their studies, without neglecting either. This network of excellence enabled him to win major titles in his sport as well as completing his dissertation.

Since January 2022, Romain, who received the SKEMA Excellence Award from Alice Guilhon, has been working as a management controller for EDF on a permanent contract.
