US campus: Green doughnuts and cookies for St Patrick's day

Published on 30 March 2021

March 17, the new Raleigh campus student union hosted a successful Saint Patrick’s day celebration. They set the ambience with green décor and Irish music and offered students coffee and a variety of snacks and desserts, including shamrock-shaped cookies and green, matcha-flavoured donuts.

Led by student union president Joulene Attoui (Master in Managagement student) and vice-president David Mbodj (MSc Financial Markets and Investments), the event was a joyful celebration of the popular Irish holiday, which is massively celebrated in the US every year.

Each semester the SKEMA USA student union plans events centred on US holidays and celebrations to give students a taste of American culture. This semester, in-person events have been quite scarce due to the pandemic and students appreciated this opportunity to (safely) gather at a student-led event.
