Furthering research
SKEMA is part of the small circle of highly prestigious schools partnering with the Institute, alongside ENA and the Ecole Nationale de la Magistrature (national school for the judiciary). SKEMA’s MSc International Strategy and Influence programme, which provides training in economic intelligence and security, will gain from this enhanced collaboration in the field of research.
Work carried out jointly will benefit students and raise their awareness in the mastery of these issues, continuing the progress made by Christophe Bisson (the programme’s current director) and the consultant Olivier Pommeret in “the political system of early signs for detecting fake news and protecting democracy.” New strategic grids have also been devised and are bring applied by students in simulations. They factor in all the business aspects and the forces of geostrategic influences. They also involved the mastery of an innovative software designed to more efficiently detect and interpret faint signals and anticipate them for strategic purposes: an area in which Christophe Bisson has received an award from the World Organisation of Strategic and Competitive Intelligence.
Testimony from Jean Laneyrie, 2019 graduate and consultant with Digimind
“I took the MSc International Strategy and Influence while I was doing SKEMA’s Grande Ecole Programme. This highly comprehensive course gave me the chance to specialise in Economic Security at the military school (INHESJ). With experts in law, cybersecurity and crisis management, this specialisation provided real added value in terms of my landing a job as consultant with Digimind.”
Training responding to the issues of all-out competition
SKEMA’s MSc International Strategy and Influence is a course at the crossroads of all the disciplines involved in strategy, designed to respond to the needs of private and public organisations in dealing with all-out competition.
The course focuses on three main approaches: strategy, influence and economic security, which are shored up by digital technology and benefit from the teaching and tools of the Global Lab in AI, SKEMA’s Montreal-based enhanced intelligence unit.
In the second semester, around 40 students studying this MSc were trained for 60 hours on economic security (the other half chose the strategic consultancy specialisation) at the military school. After the exams, students received the Economic Security Certification, which is highly regarded in the professional world.
