SKEMA China offering all-online Chinese cultural activities

Published on 20 January 2021

SKEMA Suzhou is live streaming Chinese cultural activities for international students who can’t be present on campus due to Covid-19 pandemic.

With China's borders remaining closed to non-Chinese SKEMA students for the 2021 spring semester, the Suzhou campus has decided to offer a variety of Chinese cultural activities for students through live streamed classes. Now students will be offered an opportunity to learn about Chinese kung fu, Chinese calligraphy and painting, the craft of paper cutting, and some of the most popular Chinese traditional activities while staying in their own homes.

“By offering students these online classes, we hope to enrich their 'China experience' and make them feel connected with the Suzhou campus even if they’re not physically on campus this semester.”  explained Jason Kim, the student life supervisor on SKEMA's Suzhou campus.
