So that students of more than 10 nationalities would be better settled into the campus
, the SKEMA China team welcomed them and presented all the student services in the last week of August. Following the welcome speeches, a virtual tour in Suzhou classical gardens brought them closer to Chinese culture.
“Nowadays, China is the largest innovative market in the world and entrepreneurial spirit is everywhere. We have more than 2000 SKEMA alumni out of the 50,000 SKEMA alumni worldwide, so make good use of our network and nothing is impossible!” said Matthieu Dumont, SKEMA China's campus director.
It was the second year that the International Joint Audit Institute enrolled students through the Chinese college entrance examination (known as Gaokao). The arrival of 300 undergraduate students coincided with the appointment of Professor Wenyu Dou, academic dean of SKEMA China and vice dean of the Institute SKEMA X NAU, who gave a speech about international study experience.
Apart from the expected new start in Suzhou and Nanjing, the joint programme launched by SKEMA and XJTU, a member of C9 league (top nine universities in China) witnessed again bilateral cooperation in fields of management and big data.
Patrice Houdayer, vice dean of SKEMA, pointed out that rapid development and the increasingly diversified world economy not only highlights challenges but also brings great opportunities to entrepreneurs. This joint programme gathered the best resources of SKEMA and XJTU. He hoped that students could maximize the use of course resources and keep improving during their learning journeys.
