Skema Conseil opens office in Brazil

Published on 07 October 2020

After 50 years of existence and the creation of its first office in 1969, the Skema Conseil Junior Enterprise announced the expansion of its activities to SKEMA’s Brazil campus.

The constituent general meeting of the Brazilian branch was held on 21 September in Belo Horizonte.

"After several months of work and reflection on the legal, statutory and organisational procedures, I am truly proud to announce the launch of our Junior Enterprise in Belo Horizonte in Minas Gerais State, a region seen as Brazil’s Silicon Valley with over 200 start-ups and a dozen incubators," said Brahim Belasri-Nogueira, president of Skema Conseil.

"After the group's merger and our set-ups in Raleigh (USA) and Suzhou (China) [See the video: Skema Conseil merges in 2020], this is another key step in our five-year strategic development plan, which has broad global ambitions. This success is entirely due to the support of our school and all our partners on site. I particularly want to thank Alice Guilhon, Patrice Houdayer, Geneviève Poulingue, Isabelle Jauny, Axelle Sapy and Corinne Bonnin. My very best wishes to the elected team of Skema Conseil Brazil, led by Luis Guimaraes (president), André Costa de Moraes (financial manager) and Luiza Pereira Botelho (administrative manager)", he added.

Geneviève Poulingue, director of SKEMA’s Belo Horizonte campus, who is deeply involved in the project’s success, said: “The Brazilian branch of Skema Conseil, after the establishment of the HOPE association in 2018, paves the way to some splendid future projects under the overall governance of the Skema Conseil Group, and the determination to create synergies with the teams in Lille, Paris, Sophia Antipolis, Raleigh (USA) and Suzhou (China). I am delighted that the Skema Conseil team here is made up of Brazilian students from our BBA programme at the Belo Horizonte campus. This shows how committed they are. This integration will contribute to a better understanding of local issues, while developing the international expertise of our JE.”
