SKEMA hosts Executive MBA students from USTC (China)

Published on 03 June 2019

In the last week of April, SKEMA's Sophia Antipolis campus hosted 20 executive MBA students from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC, ranked among China's top 10).

Accompanied by three representatives of its management school, they had come to attend an introductory day of immersion into Sophia Antipolis’ ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship.

A conference chaired by Prof. Michel Bernasconi and visits to the Huawei research centre, business hub and Village by CA accelerator were part of the delegation’s schedule.

The action-packed day gave these top-level Chinese professionals an overall understanding of entrepreneurship and innovation in France. They were impressed by the energy of France’s own ‘Silicon Valley’ and were particularly amazed by the attention devoted by the community to the ecosystem. They were interested in how it contributes to the well-being of the residents of Sophia Antipolis and the internationalisation of the region in general and, in particular, of SKEMA.

Other groups from the USTC’s E-MBA programme will also be visiting SKEMA, soon. These developments consolidate the cooperation between SKEMA and USTC, thus enabling them to train the intercultural and interdisciplinary managers of tomorrow together. The cooperation between the two establishments began in 2015, in the form of a two-year double degree in engineering and entrepreneurship, which is open to holders of a high-school diploma and a three-year university degree.
